I forgot how much of this one there was until I went through some old files.
The American President was going to be my next similar project after RIVER: another four-issue limited series intended for collection as a graphic novel. Later, I added colour for DC’s short-lived Zuda Comics, which disappeared before I even got around to submitting.
What I’d forgotten was that I’d made some of the second issue: a first scene, and the last page-and-a-half.
I still love this idea, of a super-powered US President laying waste to domestic and foreign affairs. Could such a transparent villain ever get elected in the first place? Well, at the time we could only imagine…
